Started the break with a great run and cleaning the house (normal Saturday stuff). Then, went to Laurie's house for lunch and had an awesome time there.
After some errands, we enjoyed our welcome by the critters in our family.
Sunday
The entire day was spent with Candace and Matt and it was the best Sunday in a very long time. After church, I taught Candy how to make Reibekuchen (German potato pancakes) while the boys played a game on their phones.
After lunch, we played two rounds of Settlers of Catan.
Sitka didn't want to be too far away from us :)
Monday
I had softball practice at school from 8-10. So when, I got home, we had lunch and headed for a hike at South Mountain.
They seem to be building something random but I did get to see a cactus blooming. I miss my Oma the most when I see a cactus blooming.
Tuesday
Dust had to have a cyst removed from his armpit and deserved a treat afterwards, an Oreo Shake:)
Wednesday
We spent the day relaxing in front of the TV and playing this really fun game. I love the other tales game played but this one seems even better.
The best part about being on break is that the weather has been awesome and we have enjoyed dinner outside every night this week.
Even Sitka has enjoyed being more outdoors.
We were craving ice cream but only had vanilla, so we made our own with chocolate and Reeses Sauce.
Thursday
After I made a wonderful breakfast of waffles, I headed to the Wildlife World Zoo with Krista.
That evening, I made Chicken Cordon bleu for dinner on the grill, it was delicious!!
Soooooooooo happy for this break!! Also, this wonderful man to share it with:)
Friday
After going to get my oil changed, Dust and I went to have lunch at Bass Pro Shop at the Mesa Riverview. We had fish 'n chips and a sample platter where we actually tried alligator:)
That evening, I made us bruschetta that we had with some yummy bread and enjoyed some red wine.
Saturday
This was the perfect day to enjoy the annual Renaissance Festival. Lots to see and do!
Yummy Funnel Cake!!
Sunday
Rainy day and lesson planning...oh, and having fun with my old cart...
