At the beginning of the summer, Theo showed signs of being interested in using the potty. I know it was early but I thought let's try. He has done really well! I mean, we have our accidents here and there but he gets to wear underwear during the day and he has pull-ups on at nap and bedtime. We did things a little backwards though, he was potty trained before ending his nursing time. The thing was that Theo was still nursing 2-3 times a day. A bond that I really enjoyed between Mama and son. Theo loved Mama's milk so much that he did not really want to drink cows milk. The last few weeks, Theo began to drink more cows milk that I began to realize that we need to say bye to Mama's milk. The conversations we were having the last few weeks was that when the rocking chair is gone, so will Mama's milk. Well, the rocking chair was sold on Thursday and therefore things changed the last few days. Dustin has been amazing in putting Theo down for naptime and bedtime so that we can adjust to a new routine between Theo and me. I changed the corner where the rocking chair was to make it a fun corner for Theo. He can read books here or have a picnic with his stuffed animals. Theo is being another rock star with all of this. I on the other hand have had to adjust a little more. I am thankful to Peppermint oil, ice packs, and a little bit of cabbage leaves as well to help adjust with all of this. I hope I can feel normal again soon. I know that my time with breastfeeding has been amazing and that I cannot wait one day to do it again. I am thankful for the milk I was able to produce. For now, I will enjoy the hugs and time that I get with Theo where he wants me to spend time with him.
