Easter 2012

The morning began with me setting up Dust's little Easter basket and boiling the eggs.

 Once Dust was up, time to decorate the eggs!

 Oh, and then of course eat the eggs:)

 After church, we met Laurie at Mimi's Cafe for brunch.

After a break at home, it was time to head to Matthias and Melissa for a Linke get together. I got to steal Rowan for a little bit and this made me very happy:)

 We rode over to the mountain with Markus and Julie, Rowan was a little confused on who was sitting next to her:)

 The strangest sighting was the potatoes on the side of the road...did the Easter Bunny change?

 Since Rowan couldn't really participate, we had more Easter Eggs to look for in the backyard.

 Little kids got to go first...then the older kids.

 The best part was when we blind folded Benjamin, Ethan, and Aubrey and Markus, Dustin and I each had a kid to guide.

He has risen!

The New Year Has Begun

Happy 2012 Everyone!!!

We had fun hanging out with both Linke families.

Loved playing games, like Blokus and Farkle.

 Of course, we needed to do the first course for Fondue: Cheese while we played.

I beat Ethan at Farkle and received a trophy.

Aubrey enjoyed playing with my hair.

Then, it was time to play Pictionary as a family.

 Time for Fondue!! The Linke family tradition New Years Eve. I t was so great to be doing this again with almost everyone there.

 After an evening of fun events, we made it back to our place just before midnight to enjoy some yummy chocolate.

 January 1, 2012 and my hubby making breakfast for us...I like the start to this new year already!

Things to look forward to in 2012:

-focusing on what Gad has planned for me

-running several half marathons again

-enjoying life with Dustin

-going to Slovakia with a team from Grace this summer

-reconnecting with friends

Christmas 2011

Our Christmas preparation began with Mir making a cherry pie and an apple pie. This was the first time that she made an apple pie.

 Sitka needed to get into the festivities as well with her hat and necklace.

 After dinner, it was time for some family pictures...love what came out:)

 The Combs' Second Christmas together with the addition of Sitka this year.

 PJ time...Dustin was very excited for his this year.

I got me a new pair of toe shoes!!!!!!

 Dustin got a new tshirt.

 His big gift was to go to Sedona for a night and the big part of it was to do a Pink Jeep Tour.

 My big gift was a pair of diamond earrings.

Christmas morning with the Linkes...yummy breakfast and then it was time to open presents.

Overall, it was an excellent Christmas filled with lots of wonderful memories. Definitely enjoying this wonderful break with an amazing hubby by my side.
