Zac Brown Band Lyrics

a song that is worth a listen if you have a chance

Free

Written By: Brown

So we live in our old van

Travel all across this land

Me and you

We'll end up hand in hand

Somewhere down on the sand

Me and you

Just as free

Free as we'll ever be

Just as free

Free as we'll ever be

Drive until the city lights

Dissolve into a country sky

Me and you

Lay underneath the Georgia moon

Do all the things that lovers do

Just me and you

Just as free

Free as we'll ever be

Just as free

Free as we'll ever be

Ever be

No we don't have a lot of money

No we don't have a lot of money

No we don't have a lot of money

All we need is love

Free as we'll ever be

Just as free

Free as we'll ever be

Ever be

So we live in our old van

Travel all across this land

Me and you

The Man in my life

So here is Dustin who is pretty much AMAZING!!! I love him more and more every day as I get to see what God has done in his life. He is showing me what God's love really means and how it flows into other people lives.

It is amazing that we have been together for 6 months already! We celebrated by going to Oreganos for dinner, since we love Italian food, and then after he surprised me by taking me to Build-A-Bear. I got to build my very own bear! Yes, I might have been the oldest kid in the room, but it was still quite enjoyable. The bear even talks! I get to hear Dustin's voice whenever I want to say "Hello Miriam! I love you...so much!" It is better when you hear it ;) The bear's official name is Dusty Romeo Bruce but we like to call him our "Lovechild" :]

Dustin, I love you so much and want you to continue to challenge me in my walk with God!

Student Teaching

I have now started my 4th week of student teaching and feel like I should write a little about it or at least give some time of reflection. Not that I do not do enough of that for one of my classes at ASU but still, more of a personal reflection.

One of the girls in my class on Thursday evenings asked a few others if we are having second thoughts about teaching...we all answered with "Yes!" I began to wonder why I even answered yes immediately. I think it is because as a student teacher, we are required to be modeling strategies that we have learned for the past year and a half and be using the structure that our mentor teacher is using. In reality, this is not our own classroom yet and we have a lot of work for us. Even for me being in ELL classroom where everything is so new that the teacher is learning with me how to run the classroom. This is the first year for Arizona to be implementing the 4 hours required for ELLs to be immersed in the English Language in a separate classroom from their home room.

Come a few months, I will be applying for different districts to see if I can even get a position come January. The struggling part is that it is in the middle of the school year. I know that most likely I will be substituting for the spring semester and then find a job for the next school year...but we will see what God has in store for me, right? He is the only one that is giving me the strength to get through right now as I am fighting some kind of sickness for the past two weeks. Welcome to working with kids, right? :)
